P12-M farm-to-market road in Lanao town reported 55% complete

Tubod, Lanao del Norte (4 September) — The P12 million farm-to-market road in Sultan Naga Dimaporo town is now 55% complete, as of August 31, according to a report from the Provincial Engineer’s Office.

The project started in February this year.

Of the total project cost, P10 million is funded by the Department of Agriculture (DA) through its Regional Field Unit in Cagayan de Oro City, while the remaining P2 million is shouldered by the provincial government this province.

This 2 kilometer project, 1.2 kilometers of which will be concreted and the rest is for re-graveling, covers from the junction of Poblacion, National Highway to Barangay Maguindanao leading to the Provincial Hospital.

Governor Mohamad Khalid Q. Dimaporo pushed for the completion of this project the soonest possible so that residents will have convenience in accessing commercial and business centers in nearby municipalities and cities.

In addition, quality of life will improve with the eventual economic progress in the areas while farmers will have ease in transporting their products to its prospective clientele. (PIO-Lanao del Norte)
