Lanao Norte products prove competitive in trade fair

Tubod, Lanao del Norte (4 September) — Lanao del Norte products proved to be competitive during the recently concluded “Kahimunan Northern Mindanao Regional Trade Fair 2009″ in Cagayan de Oro City.

The trade fair and exhibit was joined in by the provinces in region 10 which are engaged in small and medium enterprise promoting the One Town One Product (OTOP) venture.

Despite being a neophyte in the event, the Lanao del Norte Food Processors fared well and proved that its products has already gained market mileage.

Governor Mohamad Khalid Q. Dimaporo, in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), region 10, showed its support, encouragement and commended the food processors for presenting and selling quality products complete with attractive packaging and labeling.

Some of the products sold during the trade fair were sardines in corn oil, boneless danggit, dried squid, spicy alamang, honeymansi plain and with pineapple, honeymansi ready-to-drink, pineapple marmalade, coco sugar, coco honey, coco jelly, sukang pinasarap, beef and pork longganisa, special ampao, bangus in corn oil, boneless tilapia, salted burnay, banana catsup, banana chips, peanut toron, pastillas, yema, piñato, salted peanuts, sugar-coated peanuts, spicy dilis, buchi and veggie polvoron.
