Lanao Norte products gain recognition in Zamboanga City

Tubod, Lanao del Norte — Recently, the Tubod Producers Association (TPA) of Lanao del Norte joined the 4th One-Town-One-Product (OTOP) Mindanao Island Fair held at the Convention Center of Garden Orchid Hotel in Zamboanga City showcasing various products which are locally made and which gained recognition.

Seeing that the products are competitive, show marketability potentials and will definitely promote economic and tourism activities in the province, town mayor Eduardo C. Mansueto extended full support to make possible the organization’s objectives.

According to a report, tourists and locals flocked in TPA’s booth to buy and inspect the products displayed at the venue and resulted a fairly sufficient profit.

It is the objective of TPA in joining the event to develop and promote the local products both to foreign and local customers.

Showcased Tubod town products include coco sugar, coco honey, coco vinegar, Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), salabat (powdered ginger), coffee and local delicacies.

It has been the continuous program of the provincial government through Governor Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Diamporo’s agenda on Social Development and Rural Livelihood that is why producing local products are greatly encouraged in order to provide alternative livelihood for the residents, enhance their living conditions as well as promote their welfare.
