DOST Secretary visits Lanao del Norte

Cagayan de Oro City (4 September) — Science and Technology Secretary Estrella F. Albastro visited Department of Science and Technology-Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (DOST-SETUP) and DOST-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCCARD) assisted projects in Lanao del Norte.

Among the sites visited by Sec. Albastro were the SND Halal Meat Processing and Retort Processing of Best Dairy Products, Kapatagan FITS Center, Lala FITS Center and the Provincial Ceramics Display Center.

The project visitation was conducted to assess and evaluate the assisted small and medium enterprise in the province.

Sec. Alabastro was impressed and delighted as she inspected the quality, presentation and establishment of the products in the different DOST assisted projects in Lanao del Norte.

“The projects and the products assisted by the DOST in Lanao del Norte are quite good and impressive,” Sec. Albastro commented.

The visitation of the DOST Secretary paved way for business investors and gave wider perspective that indeed the province of Lanao del Norte is being acknowledged as a province with sustainable development and economic advancement. (ARMS/PIO-Lanao del Norte)
